IRONCLAD WINS 2020 ISHN READERS’ CHOICE AWARDS FOR CHEMICAL AND CUT-RESISTANT GLOVES

Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHN) Magazine recognizes two NEW Ironclad Gloves as Innovative PPE and Occupational Health and Safety Products. The winning gloves, chosen by ISHN readers, include Ironclad’s new Command™ A7 Insulated glove (SKC4SNW2) in the Cut-Resistant category, and the A6-rated KONG® Chemical Impact (KCHA5) glove in the Chemical-Resistant category.

The KONG® A6 Chemical Impact glove boasts an ANSI A6 rated cut-resistant shell and a liquid barrier provided by two nitrile coatings, including a sandy finish outer layer to enhance grip. Welded to the outer nitrile layer is Ironclad’s patented IVE™ high-visibility impact protection, which maximizes hand visibility at a distance through increased contrast, brightness, fluorescence and pattern recognition – all while maintaining the glove’s barrier to liquids.

The Command™ A7 Insulated glove also brings a wide range of features into one single glove – ANSI level A7 cut resistance, two layers of nitrile coating, an acrylic insulation lining, guaranteed touchscreen performance, and a color-coded saddle reinforcement that extends the lifetime of the glove while indicating the glove’s cut level.

Ironclad General Manager and resident biomedical engineer, Eric Jaeger, says “ISHN readers are experts in the field of industrial safety. It’s a tremendous honor for us to be recognized not once but twice, by ISHN readers for our commitment to bringing innovative and much-needed hand safety solutions to the market.”

“I believe these two gloves were chosen based on their unique combination of features and benefits rarely seen in a single glove. First we have a glove that combines cut resistance with chemical resistance AND high-level, patented impact protection. The second glove adds guaranteed touchscreen performance plus a color-coded saddle reinforcement to a cold-weather (or cold storage) high-level cut resistant glove. We recognized that these combinations of features and benefits were missing in the market - so we tasked our R&D team with developing the technology required to create these all-in-one glove solutions.”

As they say, the people have spoken.
